Syzygy Plasmonics builds advanced systems to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), methanol, syngas, and hydrogen at lower cost and with dramatically lower emissions. Our light-powered reactors replace traditional, high-emission processes and help you meet strict carbon intensity targets. Whether you're looking to scale clean fuel production or hit key sustainability milestones, we provide the technology to get you there.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)

Syzygy Plasmonics' GHG e-Reforming™ technology unlocks low-cost, high-volume SAF production using abundant waste feedstocks such as landfill gas, dairy gas, agricultural waste, and wastewater gas.

License Our Technology

The all-electric GHG e-Reforming™ Reactor catalyzes a variety of feedstock sources that contain methane and CO2 into syngas for clean fuels. This technology is built on Rigel™ reactor cell, which uses light as the primary energy source to power the conversion of feedstock to products. Multiple cells are combined in easy-access cell stack modules to meet desired ton-per day production. Higher volumes are achieved by combining multiple modules into an array resulting in e-Reforming reactor.

Syngas

Syzygy Plasmonics' Rigel™ Reactor Cells are integral to our GHG e-Reforming™ Modular Reactor, producing high-quality syngas from waste feedstocks.

Hydrogen

Syzygy Plasmonics' Ammonia e-Cracking technology provides the cleanest, most efficient method for hydrogen production. Utilizing our advanced Rigel™ Reactor Cells, this process achieves exceptional efficiency, converting 5.7 kg of NH3 per kg of hydrogen.

Methanol

Syzygy Plasmonics offers next-generation methanol production through our proprietary light-driven Rigel™ Reactor Cells.

Technology

Our technology platform enables the production of high-demand molecules that emit radically fewer — or no — greenhouse gases at a cost that enables adoption in the short-term. Our commercial solutions are the culmination of more than 30 years of plasmonics and nanotechnology research out of Rice University.

Meet Rigel™

Clean Chemistry. Zero Emissions. Real Results.

Syzygy Plasmonics uses its proprietary Rigel™ photoreactor to run chemical reactions with light instead of combustion—cutting emissions and energy use. Built from low-cost materials, our reactors scale from 1 to 100+ tons per day. By changing the catalyst and feedstock, the same unit can produce hydrogen, syngas, or other valuable fuels and chemicals. Powered by renewable electricity, the Rigel™ system delivers zero-emissions production at lower cost than traditional clean tech.
